Two snatch-thieves shot dead by Police
Two snatch-thieves escaping on a motor cycle were shot dead by the police after they had allegedly returned fire in the Tissamaharama area today (17).
They were escaping after snatching a gold chain of a woman.
A police team from the Sooriyawewa station had given chase in a jeep and the pillion rider had opened fire at the policemen.
The jeep had run off the road injuring three persons.
