Wennappuwa Police have arrested two suspects allegedly responsible for murdering an individual and stealing a van on the premises.
The robbery and murder had taken place in Wennappua on June 13. Wennappuwa Police, who commenced investigations into the incident, arrested the two suspects from Seeduwa yesterday (16). The stolen van was also found abandoned in Kandy.
The suspects are aged 26 and 29 and are residents of Lunuwila and Wennappuwa.
Further interrogation of the suspects also led police to recover a motorbike that was also stolen by the suspects from the crime scene. Wennappuwa Police are investigating.
