This year the University Grants commission will admit 41,228 ( before re-correction) to State Universities based on the 2021 G.C.E Advanced level results, University Grants Commission Chairman Prof Sampath Amaratunga said.
This is based on the cut off points released by the University Grants Commission released today.
Prof Amaratunga said that the registration for the Selected course and the University will be informed to the candidates within two weeks via SMS and email; Appeals can be made within 30 days.
Last time 43,927 (after corrections and special intake0 students were admitted to the State University.
The highest intake has been for the Arts stream (11,314) ,Biological science stream (9,749) and Physical Science stream (8,020) and Commerce ( 7701)
The applied candidates can now check their selected universities in the website of the University Grants Commission. https://www.ugc.ac.lk/
