(UPDATED) -Former Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne who was remanded by the Colombo High Court is due to be produced before Colombo Magistrate court today related to a case filed by the Bribery Commission.
Dr Senaratne who was evading arrest appeared before the Colombo High Court today where he was remanded by Judge Lanka Jayaratna until he is produced in the Magistrate courts.
Earlier the Magistrate courts had issued notice for him to appear in courts.
The Bribery Commission has filed charges against the former Minister on allegation that he was responsible for causing a loss of Rs. 26.2 million to the state, due to the transfer of a sand mining project at the Kirinda Fishery Harbour to a Korean company .
