The Frontline Socialist Party’s administrative secretary Koswattage Chameera Niroshan Perera and member of the People’s Movement for Free Education Koshila Hansamali Perera have been arrested by Thalangama police for causing destruction to public property, violating quarantine rules and causing severe injuries to police officers at yesterday’s protest near Parliament premises.
The arrested duo are to be produced before Kaduwela Magistrate. Police said special teams are deployed to identify other protestors involved in causing damage and injuries.
