Western, Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara districts will experience rain today, the Meteorology Department forecasted.
Meanwhile, fairly heavy thundery showers are expected in Central, Uva, Eastern and North Central provinces as well. Public is requested to take safety measures to minimise damages from strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
During the past 24 hours, Anuradhapura experienced both the highest temperature (34.6 degrees) and the highest rainfall of 119 mm.
