Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said he has been denied entry to harbour police premises today (5) to visit the arrested teachers who took part in yesterday’s protest.
He said as the Leader of the Opposition and Parliamentarian he has the right to visit those who were arrested and held at the police station and that lawyers too should be permitted to go inside.
“If Opposition Leader, an MP or a lawyers does not have permission to go inside a police station, what democracy is that?”, questioned Mr Premadasa.
