The G.C.E. Advance Level examinations will commence today and be held until September 2, local media reported.
The examinations are due to be held in 2,230 examination centres, island wide according to the examinations department.
Examination Department General Commissionaire W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara was quoted as saying said that examination centres will function in Delf, Kayts, Nainativu islands too this year. More than 1 million students will be sitting for A/Ls examinations while 260 candidates are children with special needs.
