AG ordered to examine Ranjan's statement

The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the Attorney General to examine the recent statement made by Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake where he allegedly insulted the judiciary.

The AG has been instructed to examine the statement and inform whether the Deputy Minister can be charged with contempt of court.
