Singer Amal Perera and two others who were deported from Dubai yesterday (Apr 23) have been released following questioning by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
Mr. Perera was arrested along with 30 others in Dubai during a party hosted by druglord 'Makandure Madush' in February. He was deported with five others yesterday.
However, three other persons were not released since they have been identified as wanted suspects for shooting Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) officers during a raid in Piliyandala.
