The Department of Examinations stated that all tuition classes and seminars in relation to the GCE A/L examination are to be prohibited from midnight on October 6.
Menawhile, tution classes and seminars in relation to the Grade 5 scholarship exam will be prohibited from 7 October .
The bans will be in effect until the end of both the exams.
The Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath Pujitha stated that “preparation, and conducting extra classes, lectures seminars workshops targeting the indicated examination and printing and distribution of model question papers is also strictly prohibited”.
Further he stated that strict legal action will be taken against all those who violate this ban.
The Scholarship examination will be held on 11th October while Advance Level examination will commence from October 12 and continue till November 6.
