Director of the Anti-corruption Front, Namal Kumara, has been barred from speaking on the alleged assassination plot of the President and the former Defence Secretary.
This was announced by the Colombo Fort Magistrate, Ranga Dissanayake after considering a request by the CID today (Jan 04).
The CID had requested court to bar Mr. Kumara from making statements on the assassination plot before the media since it was affecting their investigations.
The Fort Magistrate had also ordered all media institutions to hand over the video footage of the statements made by Namal Kumara in connection to the assassination plot.
