Legal action will be taken against 117 quarantine rules violators who have been spotted by drones, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said drones captured video images of a small percentage of persons gathered in groups and playing outdoors in isolated areas.
On Wednesday (18), 15 persons were arrested from Negombo and surrounding areas for not wearing face masks and failing to maintain social distance. This brings the total number of quarantine violators since the beginning of COVID second wave to 312.
