Former UPFA MP Duminda Silva was released on bail by the Colombo Magistrate's Court over three cases filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
Silva was released on a cash bail of Rs 10,000 and a surety of Rs 1 million in each case.
The Commission filed three cases against Silva last month for allegedly failing to declare assets in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
