All the election campaigning activities for the Presidential Election will conclude at 12 midnight today, the Elections Secretariat said . The Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya has issued a statement saying that campaigning for the Presidential Election should end at 12 midnight today as 48 hours before the election. The statement further added that all Election Offices will have to be removed by midnight tomorrow.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
