Wildlife officials along with area residents of Aravanamulla, Hambantota captured a crocodile which was 11 feet in length today (Jan 18).
Area residents had informed the Wild Life Department regarding the crocodile which was spotted near a residence in the area, at 10 pm yesterday.
Accordingly, Wild Life officials had taken measures to capture the crocodile and release it to the Bundula National Park.
This was the first instance of a crocodile being spotted in the area, residents said.
