Eleven members of the proscribed Jamathei Millathu Ibrahim (JMI) group who were arrested previously in Ampara have been handed over to the Terrorist Investigation Division for further action today (Sept 11).
The arrest had been carried out upon information received by the State Intelligence Service, police said.
According to the Police, these JMI members had received training with Easter Sunday attacks ringleader Mohamed Zahran at training camps in Nuwara Eliya and Hambantota.
