Members of the Employees Provident Fund can now check the balances of EPF accounts and find out whether their employees have duly credited their EPF contributions to their accounts, government media reported. Recently a special machine at the Narahenpita Labour Secretariat Complex on May 6 which was commissioned by Labour Minister S. B. Navinna. The Labour Ministry was quoted as telling media that all EPF members registered under the electronic system can now make use of this novel facility. Those who are not electronically registered can utilise it after getting their employers to register their membership electronically. It is anticipated that this facility would be made available countrywide by installing similar machines at the 30 labour offices.
