The Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) is to be brought under the purview of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), police sources said.
Sources explained that this move is to be made upon the instructions of the Acting IGP.
The FCID, under the purview of the Police, was set-up under the previous government in 2015 to investigate serious acts of financial fraud and misuse of state assets.
