Fifteen suspects who have been charged with vandalizing statues in Mawanella have been further remanded until August 22 by the Mawanella Magistrate's court today (Aug 08).
During today's hearing, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) said that five suspects are still being questioned under detention over the incident.
Accordingly, Magistrate Upul Rajakaruna instructed the CID to submit a report on the assets and the passports of the suspects.
