The final decision on proposed 20th Amendment will be taken at the next cabinet meeting next week after the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wikremasighe meet other political parties, cabinet spokesperson Rajitha Senaratna said. "Atleast fifteen proposals from political parties on the proposed amendment was taken up at the cabinet meeting yesterday night and it was decided to further accommodate alterations to it after further discussions." he said. He added that a common consensus reached to increase the number of parliamentarians from 225 to 255 and increase the women representation in the parliament too.
