Five persons who had conducted themselves in a suspicious manner were arrested in Ja-Ela on Tuesday by the Navy.
They had been apprehended after making contradictory remarks regarding a suspicious vehicle in which they had been travelling.
The suspects, identified as residents of Mattakuliya and Wellawatte between the ages of 28 and 30, have been handed over to the Ja-Ela Police for further investigations.
