The Colombo Fort Magistrate's court instructed former DIG Nalaka de Silva's lawyer to file a bail request on behalf of his client.
Former DIG Silva was ordered to be remanded until March 26 over the alleged VIP assassination plot.
However, the Magistrate had instructed Mr. Silva's lawyer to file a bail application after having considered a report submitted by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

Former DIG Nalaka de Silva who was arrested over the alleged VIP assassination plot has been further remanded until March 26.
This was announced when he was produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrates Court today (Mar 19).
