Four individuals have been arrested by the Police over the possession of eleven elephant pearls in Kandy.
According to the police, the value of the pearls cannot be determined.
The arrest was carried out by officers of the Organised Crimes Prevention Unit following a tip-off.
The suspects have been identified as residents of Badulla, Monaragala, Ampara, and Wellawaya whose ages are 27,28,35 and 40 respectively.
They will be produced before the Kandy Magistrates Court today (Dec 10).
Police are carrying out further investigations in this regard.
