The Ministry of Finance has announed that the prices of fuel will be reduced with effect from midnight today (Jan 10).
Issuing a press release, the Finance ministry said a litre of EURO 4 diesel is set to go down by Rs 3 while a litre of petrol and diesel will be reduced by Rs 2.
Accordingly, a litre of Octane 92 petrol which is Rs 125 will be reduced to Rs 123 while a litre of Octane 95 petrol will be reduced from Rs 149 to Rs 147 with effect from midnight today.
In addition, a litre of Auto Diesel which is priced at Rs 101 would be reduced to Rs 99 while Super Diesel which is priced at Rs 121 per litre will be reduced to Rs 118.
However, the Finance Ministry said that the prices of crude oil according to the Singapore BRENT pricing index and PLATTS price has been on the rise during the last two weeks.
The prices of fuel are revised on the 10th of every month according to the fuel price formula.
