Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa today (Oct 24) vowed to establish a “transparent” and “responsible” government under his rule.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) candidate, during a rally in Mahiyangana, said that his government would execute its duties in a proper manner to achieve the desired results.
While blaming the present government for neglecting certain sectors in the country, he emphasised that he has created a plan to resolve various issues faced by the people.
“We will definitely provide a solution to the problems faced by villagers due to wild elephants,” he said adding that he would also resolve water-related issues in the country.
Rajapaksa, pledged to develop the agriculture, plantation and farming industries, alleging that the government had resorted to exporting these products by obtaining “foreign advice”.
He pledged to create a developed, safe and secure country if the people “fulfil their duty” of voting him to power on November 16.
