Hambantota Mayor Eraj Fernando released today on two personal bails of Rs one million each by Hambantota magistrate's court. Earlier Mr. Fernando was arrested over an alleged assault incident in March 2014.The case will be taken up for hearing in June 24.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
