A hartal campaign, called by relatives of disappeared persons is to be staged in North and eastern provinces tomorrow demanding immediate steps to disclose information of the missing persons.
The relatives of disappeared who have been on roads for more than two months demanding answers from government have alleged that the government has failed to provide them substantial solutions or track their missing loved ones.
The political parties including Tamil National Alliance (TNA), Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC), All Ceylon Muslim Congress (ACMC),Tamil National Peoples’ front (TNPF) and Tamil Peoples’ Council (TPC) extended support for the hartal.
The hartal which is supported by many Tamil and Muslim civil society organizations and trade unions is set to cripple the civil administration in North and East tomorrow.
