As part of the weekly PCR testing of the public, a community screening of COVID-19 was held recently in Maradana covering residents of the area as well as people from Suduwella and Maligawatte.
Central Colombo MOH CMC Dr Dhammika Adhikariwattege said they were planning to collect about 75 samples. He said though there were no recent cases of COVID-19 detected, testing would be carried out to keep it under check.
