Injunction order issued against UNP protest
An injunction order with regard to the scheduled protest organized by the United National Party has been issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.
According to the injunction order, UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam and several others are prohibited from entering into government premises.
In addition, the injunction carries an order prohibiting a demonstration from taking place in a manner that inconviniences the public and disturbs the peace. The Colombo Additional Magistrate issued the order following a submission made by the Cinnamon Garden Police.
