The confirmation of submissions concerning former Minister Johnston Fernando's revision petition in a corruption case filed against him has been fixed for October 04 by the Colombo High Court.
Mr Fernando has been accused of causing losses worth Rs 40 million to the government by deploying the services 153 employees of the Cooperative Wholesale Establishment for election campaigns between 2010 and 2014.
However, the former minister had filed a revision petition at the High Court seeking a court order to declare that the Colombo Magistrate Court's decision to hear the case as being illegal.
The petition is being heard before High Court judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi.
