A farmer who was struck by lightning has died while working in a paddy field in Wewaldeniya yesterday, Police said.
The deceased has been identified as an 80-year old by the name of Wijesinghe and a resident of Wewaldeniya.
Accordingly, a post-mortem examination will be conducted today while Mirigama police are conducting further investigations.
An Attorney at law and his wife was shot dead in the car park of a super market in Akuregoda today evening.
