Loans worth Rs 24.5 million distributed among Navy personnel
Interest free loans worth Rs 24.5 million were distributed among 49 Senior Navy personnel yesterday (Sept 9), Sri Lanka Navy said.
According to the Navy, funds had been allocated from the Naval Benefit Fund for each loan which was worth Rs 500,000 each.
More than 2700 senior sailors will receive similar loans in future, Navy said adding that 2424 individuals have already received their loans.
