Lord Mayor of the City of London to visit Sri Lanka

The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow, will lead a business delegation to Sri Lanka from May 17 -19, the British High Commission in Colombo said in a release yesterday.
  The Lord Mayor, acting as ambassador for the UK's financial and professional services, will be meeting with senior members of the government, investment authorities, regulators and business leaders, the statement said. The Lord Mayor will also visit HSBC and will recognize staff members who have completed the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) examinations and those who have been recently awarded membership of the CISI. He will then go on to visit Millennium IT, the Colombo based IT firm that specializes in electronic trading systems to award staff there who have achieved CISI qualifications. His visit will also see him ring the ceremonial bell to open the Sri Lanka Stock Exchange.
