The Baddegama Magistrate Dhammika Hemapala was today interdicted by the Judicial Services Commission on allegations that he discussed on going judicial matters with former State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake.
The JSC also has sent a reported about High Court Judge Gihan Pilaptiya who also discussed judicial matters with Mr Ramanayake.
Meanwhile the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) is due to record statements of Magistrate Hemapala, High Court Judge Pilapitiya and former High Court Judge Padmini Ranawaka Gunatillake who also is implicated in the phone conservation case with Mr Ramanayake.
The Attorney General’s Department had earlier directed the CCD to record the statements of the three judges.
