Maximum Retail Prices introduced for sugar
A Gazette notification was issued by the Consumer Affairs Authority detailing Maximum Retail Price (MRP) on a kilogram of sugar with effect from today onwards.
Accordingly, maximum retail price for packed white sugar is fixed as Rs 90 per Kilo while unpacketed one can be sold Rs 85 per kilo. The maximum price for the importer's whole sale price is fixed as Rs 80 per kilogram.
