A ceremony to launch the Megapolis project where Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara will be developed as a combined town planning project was launched this morning.
The President and Prime Minister planted to two trees at Independence Square as to mark the inauguration of the project.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
