Met. Dept. issues heavy rain, strong winds warning
Heavy showers (100 mm) and thundershowers with strong winds are forecasted in Northern, Eastern, Southern and Uva provinces especially during evenings and nights, the Meteorology Department said.
The Department issuing a red alert to coastal areas said seas around the island will be rough at times.
