A misappropriation case filed against two individuals including former minister Basil Rajapaksa has been fixed for January 20, 2020, by the Colombo High Court.
Rajapaksa, and former Director-General of the Divineguma Development Department Kithsiri Ranawaka, have been accused of misappropriating Rs 36 million belonging to the Department.
During today's hearing, the Attorney General's Department informed court that they would submit the required documents to the accused, after court heard that certain documents are yet to be submitted by the prosecution.
The accused are alleged to have purchased GI pipes using funds of the Divineguma Department and distributed them during the 2015 presidential election.
