Presidential Commission Investigating Cases of Missing Persons in Sri Lanka began public sittings to hear cases of missing persons over the weekend in the Trincomalee District in the East.
The Public Sittings are being conducted in Trincomalee and Muttur June 27 - June 30, the Commission said in a release.
People who had already made written complaints from the areas had been invited to appear before the commission to make oral statements.
Complainants from the following Grama Niladhari Divisions of Muttur, Seruwila, Eachilampattu (Verugal), Kinniya and Thampalakaman were invited to appear before the Commission at the Muttur Divisional Secretariat location.
