Two motion have been filed in the Supreme Court - one by 122 MPs and the other on behalf of UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, both requesting a five judge bench to hear Mahinda Rajapaksa's appeal on holding office of Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, in the motion filed by Mr Wickremesinghe's legal team, a request was made that Justice Eva Wanasundara should not be considered for the bench.
The case has been fixed for support at the Appeal Court tomorrow (Dec 14).
On December 03, the Appeal Court issued an interim injunction barring the former President and his cabinet from functioning as Prime Minister and cabinet ministers respectively.
