United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Puttalam District Parliamentarian Sanath Nishantha was granted bail by the Chilaw High Court today (31).
However, his brother, Jagath Samantha Perera was further remanded in custody till June 7.
The MP and his brother are accused of assaulting the Arachchikattuwa Divisional Secretary in 2007. Both had been remanded in custody for violating their earlier bail conditions.
