MP Namal Rajapaksa taking to his official Twitter handle has congratulated Ranil Wickremesinghe on his appointment as Prime Minister.
In his tweet, MP Rajapaksa said he hopes that PM Wickremesinghe would work towards ensuring the sovereignty of this country and address the issues of the people more rather than give prominence to Western interests.
Politics aside I would like to congratulate @RW_UNP being appointed as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. I hope at least now he will work towards ensuring the sovereignty of this country and more so address issues of our people more than Western interests.
