Following a tip-off, Naval personnel attached in Puttalam in the Northwestern Naval Command, in coordination with Puttalam Police, arrested two persons for having 2 kg of Kerala Cannabis in their possession, in the general area of Palavi yesterday, Navy said.
The apprehended persons along with stock of cannabis were handed over to Puttalam Police for onward legal action.
Ajith Gallage, the owner of a Bird Park in Nagarawawa, Hambantota, has been remanded over allegations of concealing illegally imported motorcycles, in a warehouse owned by him.
