Six persons were saved from drowning by Navy personnel in the seas off Kalutara yesterday (Jul 14).
Area residents had alerted the Navy's Rapid Response Rescue and Relief Unit (4RU) in order to rescue the victims who were seen drowning while bathing in the sea.
The rescued individuals have been identified as those between the ages of 24 and 30. They are residents of Kalutara.
