Nine new ambassadors have been appointed following the approval of the Parliament Committee this week, Foreign Affairs ministry spokesperson Mahishini Colonne said today. The details of the newly appointed ambassadors with respective countries as follows: General Jagath Jayasuriya- ambassador to the UK Former Foreign Secretary Kshenuka seneviratne- ambassador to Thailand R.D. Rajapaksa- ambassador to Sweden Y.K.A. Rohanajith- ambassador to Iran G. Selvaraj- ambassador to Israel A.K.M. Sadeek- ambassador to Netherlands W.M. Karunadasa- ambassador to Qatar H.A.V. Dissanayake- ambassador to Vietnam
