The Ministry of Trade announced today two new Chairpersons for state-owned institutions Lak Sathosa and Co-operative Wholesale Establishment (CWE) have been appointed with immediate effect.
Accordingly, Rear Admiral Ananda Peiris has been appointed as the new Chairman of Lak Sathosa while Venura Gunawardena is the new Chairman of CWE.
Former Chairman of Lak Sathosa, Nushad Perera, who was appointed to the position in January has been appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI).
