Cabinet approval has been granted to construct trading complex and a ground in Nuwarawela, Kandy at a cost of Rs 121 million.
According to a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Kandyan Development, the project would be carried out under the purview of the Kandy Municipal Council (KMC).
The projects are expected to uplift the living standards of area residents, increase the revenue of the KMC, and provide benefits to traders and consumers, the proposal stated.
