One killed in Rathgama shooting

News

An individual has died in a shooting incident which took place in Rathgama yesterday (Jul 20) night, police said.

The victim, a 26-year old, had been admitted to the Karapitya hospital following the shooting, but had succumbed to his injuries.

Police had identified the victim as Sameera Chandimal, a resident of Wewadeniya.

Investigations are currently underway to identify the suspect who had carried out the shooting.
