Students of the Open University held a protest march this afternoon from Nawala to the University Grants Commission based on several demands including the reduction of course fees.
The protest march carried on regardless of a restraining order issued by the Nugegoda Chief Magistrate.
Heavy traffic was reported in the area due to the protest march on High level road.
